Bamboo Stick 150cm 12 14 Mm (set Of 4)

Tonkin canes are particularly thick-walled bamboo canes of the bamboo species Arundinaria amabilis / Pseudosasa amabilis. This bamboo, which comes from southern China and the Tonkin region (northern Vietnam) that gives it its name, grows particularly straight and has widely spaced, flat nodes. Compared to other bamboo sticks, the Tonkin stick is harder, more stable and more resilient, which makes it predestined for many practical uses. Clay kin sticks with small diameters (1-2 cm) are ideal for building climbing aids / trellises for clematis, star and funnelvines, vetches and other annual climbing plants. They blend beautifully into any garden, quickly disappear from view andare not perceived as disturbing and unnatural in the same way as plastic or metal scaffolding. Use sturdy clay pot sticks asplanting sticks to tie and support individual long plants. Whether it is a young tree, a rose, perennials that have grown tall insummer or summer flowers: clay sticks provide support everywhere and prevent plants from bending over. Clay sticks also fix protective winter covers around sensitive plants. To do this, insert three to four clay sticks into the soil around the plant and wrap jute, burlap or a piece of chicken wire around them. Now fill plenty of fallen leaves into this winter protection cage and then cover the leaves with twigs so that the leaves cannot fly away. Sensitive plants and shrubs will be well protected during the winter. Tonkin sticks are naturally tough. A Tonkin rod brings all these powerful advantages with it by nature. That is why fishing rods for fly fishing are still made from Tonkin bamboo. They are among the best and most popular fly fishing rods in the world. The Tonkin rod is also used as a baton in various traditional Asian martial arts. Light, impactresistant, robust and precise to wield - that’s how it has to be, say the fighters. A task that the Tonkin baton still fulfils reliably today, as it has done forcenturies. Do you know panpipes?! Did you know that they are made of of Tonkin bamboo? The same applies to many other classical bamboo flutes, as they are still made and played today in India, China, Japan, Vietnam or Egypt. Well-known traditional bamboo flutes include Chinese Dizidao or Xiao flutes, Japanese Shakuhachis, Egyptian Nay and Indian Bansuris
