This jute mulch disc suppresses the growth of unwanted weeds in flower and vegetable beds simply by depriving them of light. The individual fibres are interlocked to create a sturdy fleece mat. It keeps the soil warm and moist, protecting it from rapid drying out. This promotes plant growth. Jute is a renewable resource and completely biodegradable. The mat can be left on the ground or disposed of in a compost bin or organic waste container.
