This wasp scarer is actually an imitation wasp nest. Wasps are incredibly territorial insects. They usually won’t build their nest within a radius of 60 meters (197 ft) of another nest. If they find an existing nest, they will leave the area. Hang this wasp scarer in the backyard to discourage wasps from building their nests. This is an animal friendly manner of deterrent.
